I just received an email from Tim Turane of in regards to one of the artists he works with. Rich P, a rising hip-hop

artist from Harlem stood out just from the bio alone. He has a bit of a track record to speak highly of. He’s opened up for A$AP Rocky, Juelz Santana, Big Sean, and more. He’s done special performances for Jay’z Rocawear brand as well.

I initially was going to post

his song “Denim in Paris”, which I will soon.  However, while I was watching that You Tube video I looked on the right sidebar and something else that

caught my eye immediately. I’ve been wanting to hear somebody flip Gotye’s mega hit song, “Somebody That I Used To Know” for awhile now. So, I took a listen and was impressed. He’s got wordplay and you can see for yourself the many positive

comments people leave behind on his You Tube videos that it’s not just myself saying this. He definitely is in his own lane. You can tell Dipset is

definitely one of his influences, but he is not a carbon copy of anyone in that group.

With the success A$AP Rocky has been receiving and the timeliness of fans slowly getting back to demanding lyrical hip-hop on the mainstream level, the attention is

turning towards New York in a way it has not been looked at for quite some time. I think you will hear a lot from Rich P within the next year or two.
