OK, so this NOT a new song. It’s new to me as well as most of you. I’m sure you’ve heard the catchy, pop-punk influenced single, “Harlem”, which has been pretty much everywhere!

This song, “Yeah Yeah Yeah” from their debut album, New Politics, is a lot different than “Harlem”.  “Yeah Yeah Yeah” has hip-hop verses with Rage Against the Machine and Beastie Boys influences.  The fast melody in the chorus wouldn’t sound out of place on a Weezer album.  In fact, a good deal of their debut album has the hip-hop influence, a stark contrast from their latest album, A Bad Girl in Harlem.  I definitely was not expecting to hear the hip-hop sound, but it made me want to dive deeper into their catalog.  Here is the video for “Yeah Yeah Yeah”.
